1. Jimmy Clanton was a true teen age star, this cd reflects almost all of his musical accomplishments. The cuts are clean and clear but a few are taken from records (you can hear the pops and clicks and hiss) on "Just A Dream", Letter To An Angel" and "Go Jimmy Go"/5(7).

3. Jimmy Clanton was born 2 September in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA, and formed his first band in while in high school. One of the few white singers to come out of the New Orleans R&B/rock & roll sound (he was known as the "swamp pop R&B teenage idol"), he rode the crest of the popular teen music wave in the s and '60s with such songs as 'Just a Dream' and 'Venus in Blue Jeans'.

7. Jimmy Clanton (born September 2, ) is an American singer who became known as the "swamp pop R&B teenage idol". His band recorded a hit song "Just A Dream" which Clanton had written in for the Ace Records label. It reached number four on the Billboard chart and sold a million copies. Clanton performed on Dick Clark's American Bandstand and toured with popular artists like Fats Domino.
